A door left carelessly open wet equipment and your muddy shoes will expose your floor to water resulting in rotting staining and warping.
To fully waterproof a shed first make sure you select a good location for your shed use the right foundation build a drainage system and remove nearby vegetation.
Water based stains and waterproof shed paint are perfect because they re quick to dry which helps to keep dampness to a minimum especially with good airflow.
In the example design the piers are spaced 6 feet 1 8 m apart in one direction and 4 feet 1 2 m apart in the other for a total grid area of 12 x 8 feet.
Furthermore a water based stain is a better choice than a spirit based stain because it contains fewer volatile organic compounds making water based stains the less toxic alternative.
